So, I’m heading to Kansas City today to enjoy a little microbrew festival at the Zona Rosa shopping center. This one doesn’t look to be as fun/involved as the Parkville event, but it’s a good start, and an indication that people are interested in real beer. Exciting stuff. Pictures and a synopsis to come.
From BeerAdvocate:
Join us for BrewFest presented by Unico Kansas City. Enjoy excellent craft brews, music and food! Participants will receive a commemorative sampling glass and enjoy four-ounce beer samples from participating breweries. Each brewery will have their own booth to serve you some of the best craft and import brews in the world! Admission to the festival is $25 at the gate. Purchase tickets in advance (through August 14th) at Zona Rosa Guest Services for only $20!
from the UNICO rep:
“I know a few. MillerCoors will have a number of their craft beers, as well as Budweiser. A few of the Microbrews will will Granite City, Weston Brewery, Schlafly Brewery and O’Fallon Brewery. All told there will be more than 40+ Microbrews and crafts on tap.”

I think it is great that KC has a few events dedicated to beer lovers. They all seem to attract a pretty diverse fun loving crowd. I do believe some of them ended up drinking martinis at TM later? Maybe that was dessert!
