Previously only open to registered members of the American Homebrewers Asssociation (AHA), the official forum of the organization is now open to the public. For those who would like to look simply out of curiosity or those who are avid homebrewers but not yet a member of the organization, you can now browse to your heart’s content:

This is no doubt an excellent move by the organization, as other homebrew forums have strong membership numbers and participation. This move by AHA will only boost interest in the hobby, which can only be a good thing. Nice work, AHA.
For those of you who might be interested in brewing your own beer, check out these books:
Charlie Papazian’s “The Complete Joy of Homebrewing” http://bit.ly/1p6R8f
(incidentally, also the president of the AHA)
John Palmer’s “How to Brew” http://bit.ly/dxqio
Both of these books will give you an excellent introduction to homebrewing and expand your beer world like whoah. Yes, like whoah.
Homebrewing is as complicated or as simple as you want it to be. Either way, super fun. I’ve certainly had a good time.
Careful, you may notice a significant increase in people who want to be your friend.

The AHA is just another way to waste $38 on a membership, when you could have spent that on beer ingredients. Their forum is full of snobs that aren’t open to ideas that oppose those of the many mods and admins. There are much friendlier sites in which to discuss brewing..
