Second in the BeerGenius Karl Strauss series is their new Big Barrel Double IPA. Check it out below:
The Breakdown:
- Originality within style (19): Done with some ridiculous hops from New Zealand, this Double IPA stands out. Very unique.
- Nose (17): Mango, Pineapple. Orange, lemon, grapefruit.
- Mouthfeel (18): Nice full body, a creamy quality. Excellent.
- Character (19): Nicely hopped finish, and a balanced, sweet quality that is certainly interesting..
- Overall Quality (18): No lack of ingredients in this one, balanced, and well put together.
- Total (91): A fantastic derivative of the standard Double IPA.
