About BeerGenius

BeerGenius was created to allow people to find beer they like, make friends, and talk about beer they’ve had.

We’re located in the Kansas City area, although we’ve been known to venture elsewhere for a beer festival on occasion. BeerGenius strives to expand the craft beer culture. Because, really, beer people are nice people. And who couldn’t use more of those?

Jameson Huckaba

Jameson is the founder of BeerGenius. As a generalist, Jameson got tired of being ‘jack of all trades, master of none,’ and decided to concentrate his efforts on man’s most beloved beverage: beer. Not a bad way to spend life, eh?

Jameson enjoys fast cars, technology, taking risks, and talking about it over beer.

Jeffrey Ward

Jeffrey is currently in culinary school at one of the top programs in the country. As the resident chef for BeerGenius, Jeffrey cooks us tasty food and works on perfect pairings of beer and eats.

When not cooking or drinking beer, Jeffrey focuses on the bands ‘Ozma’ and ‘The Get Up Kids’ as well as taking care of his dog Sable.

Stephen Gunn

Stephen, also known as ‘Gunar,’ is the man behind the BeerGenius look-and-feel. A connoisseur of good booze, killer music, and general ass-kicking, Gunar is the perspective that we all occasionally need in our lives.
